Frenchy is what you would call classic lowbrow Aussie comedy. It is highly working class, this is the kind of humour you would hear in lower socioeconomic neighbourhoods around the country and the humour is highly familiar to me in my interactions with certain people over my life. He is popular due to playing into a very large cultural stereotype which he plays really well.
